Why is it Hard to Quit

 

Negative feelings in some cases make the porn habit worse. So attempt to go to war with these feelings at the same time you go to war with pornography.

Does being frustrated or bored lead you to porn? Instead, focus on making friends, exercising, or playing some music. Being active does help to begin to take away your need for porn. Being porn-free will also help your sex life with your wife. 

Speaking of marriage. It’s unlikely that marriage will break your habit. When you don’t stop while you’re single, your sex habits and porn will torment you after you’re married.

But change can happen. Charles Duhigg, the author of The Power of Habit, says that the individuals who have victory in changing habits, accept that change can happen. Believe it.

Quitting Porn and Finding Recovery

The most important secret to quitting porn is having a desire to follow through with goals. 

Recovery from porn addiction is a process of moving from bad habits to better habits. But remember, sometimes new habits don’t seem exciting (You need to dry out before they will be fun for you.)

1 If you watch porn on your cell phone at work or at school, you should consider having a list of other things to watch instead.

Quit Porn by Practicing Self Discipline
