If you are on a streak, you are “alive.” If you are on a streak, and you are also going to war with other sins, you are really filled with Life currently. But:
Falling changes the were to are. Now, you “Are dead, now, new things are partially dying, now, new destruction.
Falling blocks off the Light, it kills the joy, it ruins contentment. Consider praying:
“Father, help me to turn from wrongful thoughts. I want to be alive. Remind me what it will be like to be dead again.”
Second, if I could sell my peace, contentment, and joy… People would be lined up for 100 miles to pay me $50,000 each to buy it. It would be on Amazon’s best selling list.
Third, if you commit to purpose, and to a war on sin all year, that is what you will have.
Fourth, consider saying every hour: I am alive in Christ. My life is great (Or, will be great). I will not fall for satan’s short-term pleasure that ruins everything.
Fifth, consider saying: I refuse to go back to living as a dead person.
Romans 8:13 ESV For if you live according to the flesh you will die, but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live.”
If you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. To live, quote as many pertinent Bible verses as you can per day. The Bible leads to life.
