We trust God on a level from 1-10 with 10 being best. Should we trust ourselves, or trust God? The Bible says, “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?” (Jeremiah 17:9 KJV).

But I wanna do what I wanna do. God wants me to live in a way that I am unsure about. A lot of change. Can I really trust Him? Yes… That last sentence is the dumbest thing that I ever wrote. But I wrote it because 100% of us say, “I trust Him,” and then 100% of us struggle to trust Him to stop what He says is wrong, and to start doing what He says is right. In the above article, I wrote, “Something dies, partially dies, or starts to die when I believe satan’s lies.” This is always true.”

Probably 4% of readers memorized that statement, but that is only 49% of the battle. 51% of the battle is me searching to do what God wants me “To do.” In the “To do” department we are either lax in spending enough time in prayer and in the Word so that we don’t know what God wants us to do. Or, we do know, but we have other plans, other ambitions, other ______ fill in the blank with your excuse (I have mine). I need to pray often:

“Father, help me to turn from triggers, and remind me that what You want me to do is right, best, and will bring me the most joy. Help me to trust You.”

Every time I have trusted God in the past it has worked out great for me. Yet, here I am again, pausing to consider whether to do something great God has for me.

You know how I tell you to pray something 1000 times? Well… I need to pray this 2000 times because, I want more peace, love, contentment, and joy.

Finally, we spring forth new life, light, and vitality when we commit to doing things God’s way. God is right again.
