2 Corinthians 10:4 Says that we “Have divine power to destroy strongholds.”
I used the Bible verse, “The eye is the light of the body, if that light is darkness, how great is that darkness,” as my divine power to pound on my stronghold. The meaning of this verse is: Whatever you desire most (bad things) will bring you darkness (If bad), or light if good.
I repeated this verse, prayed over it, and meditated on it. I learned a lot from it. You need at least one verse about  drinking/drugs to use as your divine power to destroy your stronghold.

Ephesians 6:18 In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one.
The Bible says “Faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the Word of the Lord.” Increasing your Bible reading leads to increased faith.

Second, strongholds always begin with a thought. Take the verse you pick about drinking/drugs and repeat it with every tempting thought. One thought allows satan in. Instead, repent instantly and quote your verse. That is how you gain divine power.
