Do you know for a fact that intoxication causes destruction and leads to problems and frustrations? On a scale of 1 to 100, how well do you “know” that the previous statement is a fact?
Psalm 145:20 ESV The Lord preserves all who love him, but all the wicked he will destroy.

John 14:21 He that hath My commandments and keepeth them, he it is that loveth Me; and he that loveth Me shall be loved by My Father, and I will love him and will manifest Myself to him.”
John 14:21 explains who loves God. Psalm 145:20 explains what is happening in our lives. If we memorize Psalm 145:20 our number about how well we “know” that intoxication leads to destruction will go way up. Consider memorizing, and quoting this verse often.
Second, over the next 90 days test if this harsh verse is true for you. Do bad things happen when you do the opposite of scripture?
Finally, spend extra time praying about being in God’s will. Doing so is a home run in the fight against addiction.
