Stop Drinking Now

To win the battle for my mind we must have God’s Word and Spirit inside us. The world around you is trying to take you down. 2nd Corinthians 10:5 says that we capture every rebel thought and obey Christ.

We still believe lies. Prayer helps us to start to know the truth. Romans 8:6 says that if our sinful nature controls our minds there is death. Crucify that old nature and learn to think like Jesus. Jesus is the model for healthy happy thinking. We work at all times to make our old thoughts give up. Thinking about sin is like taking a boa constrictor to bed with you. The snake will get you because the same amount of sinful garbage that you put in your mind will come out in disasters.

To repent is the secret to everything you want in life (or should want because Jesus way is the way to maximum pleasure over time.)

A great way to keep sin at bay is to focus on caring about others souls. God demands fruitfulness. Jesus cursed the fig tree because it did not produce fruit. We should be thinking about this, we should be praying about this. If your focus is on money problems or lust or other things, you are on a slippery slope. Caring about people is the secret to contentment and happiness.

David said, “I will not set before my eyes anything that is worthless.” Christians think they can get away with looking at sin. That is one of satan’s favorite lies. Don’t be so open-minded that your brains fall out. Turn aggressively from sin. It is one key to quitting addictions.

Pray for peace and contentment. His peace will guard your hearts and mind. Pray about everything. Fix your thoughts on Jesus. When temptations arise think about Jesus on His cross.
